Do you hold service desk experience, as well as want to work for a rapidly expanding and very successful software business in the heart of Bath If so, read this advertisement and apply for the role!Entrepreneurial and highly successful software business is urgently seeking to recruit multiple Service Desk Engineers to help support its rapid expansion and the increase of domestic and international customers.Being a Service Desk Engineer, your Linux exposure will come into play. The businesss infrastructure is built around Linux (Ubuntu) Servers and Cisco Networking. Experienced within Active Directory and Xen & VMware Virtualisation will be highly desirable at this stage.Being a Service Desk Engineer you will help the Linux estate by monitoring, maintaining, supporting and deploying unique cloud and virtualised infrastructure. Hence why Virtualisation experience will be incredibly useful at this stage, although training and support in this area will also be provided by the business.Skills & Experience;

  • Knowledge of Ubuntu Operating systems, other flavours of Linux will be of interest - Debian, Red Hat/Redhat, Centos, Fedora, Samba etc.
  • Exposure to basic Networking (Routers, Firewalls & Switches).
  • Desirable Experience;
  • Virtualisation exposure (Xen, VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Active Directory knowledge.
