Job Description

INCOME OFFICERLOCATION: Bath, BristolRATE: £16-£21 per hourDURATION:2 month temporary contractHOURS: 37.5 - Mon to FriPurpose of role: Deliver a proactive income management service while prioritising your customers expectations and needs effectively. You will support customers to maximise income and sustain their tenancies financially.Duties and tasks:

  • Manage customer rent accounts proactively.
  • Listen to your customers to ensure every angle of support is covered.
  • Complete customer visits where necessary.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and set up plans to retrieve missed rent payments.
  • Contribute to income maximisation and tenancy sustainment.
  • Refer and signpost customers to third party organisations e.g. StepChange
  • Prepare court paperwork and provide clear and accurate evidence when attending court hearings.
  • Identify potential debt issues and advise your services-users efficiently.
  • When working with customers, ensure other inhouse departments and parties are updated with your recent work to allow other teams to contribute effectively.
  • Assist in debt recovery and retrieve rent loss as and where you can while appropriately suggesting tracing enquiries.
  • Conduct evictions.
  • Work with DWP, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit to assure accurate claims are being processed.
  • Use your knowledge within income management to instruct legal services.
  • Provide accurate reports and statistics to improve service delivery.
  • Be a positive ambassador for the organisation and promote organisation services.
Desired:
  • Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.
  • Income Management experience.
  • Social Housing experience.
