Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Business PartnerBased in the Southwest regionCompetitive salary + company car/car allowance + benefitsFull time, permanent positionWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Business Partner to join our fantastic Health, Safety & Environment team here at Redde Northgate. Redde Northgate was formed in early 2020 following a successful merger to become the UKs foremost integratedmobility solutions provider.This is a field support role where travel to other group locations will be required. To complement and support our existing HSE team and businesses across the estate our ideal candidate will be based in the Southwest region. The role will offer a mixtureof office and homebased working.Role overviewTo provide professional services, advice and excellence in health safety & environment (HSE) matters across the Group. Primarily ensuring legal and industry compliance throughout all locations and business activities. You will work closely with and supportsenior stakeholders across all business functions.Key responsibilities and dutiesMaintains an ongoing awareness of legislation, supports and advises colleaguesPromotes and raises HSE awareness and culture across business unitsProvides support and advice as required on all HSE related issuesAnalyse incident data to identify causes, trends and safe controls where appropriateCarries out site visits, inspections and audits to monitor compliance and support continuous improvementsAbility to prepare detailed and professional reports in a timely mannerSupports in the implementation of audit findings and monitors complianceSupports in helping produce risk assessments and all other HSE documentation as necessaryEnsures compliance with the Companys HSE policies, procedures and risk assessmentsDevelops and maintains a professional working relationship with colleagues at all levels and promote exceptional standardsCarries out HSE training as and when requiredCarries out accident investigations and produces reports which identify causes and actions to prevent reoccurrenceOrganizes and attends HSE committee meetings within business unitsMeets with suppliers / service providers when required to ensure they meet with company and legal requirementsPerforms ad hoc tasks as considered appropriate with the roleAble to react within reasonable timeframes and attend incidents to support and help investigatePrepared to commit to further personal development trainingCommunicate effectively and professional with external local authorities where the need may arisePerson specEssentialPrevious experience of working within a HSE role is necessaryNebosh General Certificate and at least two years post experience after gaining the qualification Committed to further personal development training to support and improve knowledge.A team player who works well against timescales and can deal with issues confidentlyGood communicator who can build and develop relationships at all levelsSensible and practical approach to issues and problem solvingExcellent IT SkillsGood telephone mannerFlexible approach to daily dutiesAble to prioritise workloadAble to use own initiativeIdentifies & engages key stakeholders to ensure support in all HSE mattersHolds full driving licenceGood knowledge of Excel, word, Microsoft calendar and power point.DesirableNVQ Level Five in Occupational Health & Safety or a Nebosh Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.Grad IOSH, working towards Chartered StatusIEMA level 3 environmental qualification or equivalentWhats in it for you
