Educational Finance and Funding Officers required for leading educational establishment based in Bath. There are 2 vacancies available, 1 permanent and 1 fixed term contract (12 months). Based on a 37-hour week, with hybrid working offered at 2 days officebased and 3 days home working. Salary range £23,000 - £24,000 with access to an exceptional employee benefits scheme.The ideal candidates will have proven finance experience gained within education, managing finance/funding for students, experience of using a finance operating system and a knowledge of the Higher Education sector.You will understand and sympathise with the financial difficulties students face when attending university, possibly from your own experience, and want to assist if possible. You will have a proactive approach towards customer service, demonstrate good negotiation,problem solving skills combined with excellent verbal and written communication.As an Educational Finance and Funding Officer you will demonstrate advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel and SharePoint) which is essential due to the high level of accurate communication between all parties. You will support the StudentFunding Team Leader by working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Schools/Colleges and Professional Services to ensure appropriate service levels are agreed and achieved. You may represent Finance and the University in working groups and user groupsas relevant to the role.To assist with creating and maintaining accurate records of applications, awards, payments and withdrawals for all funding schemes, ensuring that student bursaries, scholarships, studentships, fee waivers, hardship funding, US loans, Teacher Training andother funds are awarded and maintained only to eligible students, within the terms of the schemes available.You will assist with finance month-end activities in line with the agreed month-end close timetable, reporting on all Student Funding activities, ensuring that accurate reporting is available for review in accordance with the agreed timetable. SupportingInternal Audit and External Audit provision.You will assist with identifying improvements for financial processes and transactions, ensuring the team are proactively contributing towards regular process reviews and ensure these are documented and provide recommendations of best practice to the StudentFunding Team Leader for Finance Operations.
