Job Description

Data Migration Specialist - Medical Imaging Data Migration, PACS/RISUK fully remote£60k+ (negot)We are looking for a Data Migration Specialist with experience of medical imaging data migration (PACS/RIS) to join a company deeply experienced with the challenges of handling healthcare data at petabyte scale. Working with data from over 3,000 hospitalsand imaging centres around the world - they are building solutions that will revolutionise how data will be used for delivering cures.The Data Migration Engineer role:

  • To Install, configure, and monitor migration software applications starting with pre-project assessments and the development of migration plans through to validation/verification; will be managing, implementing and overseeing multiple data migrations worldwide
  • You will work directly with clients: lead on scheduled client calls, provide status reports and answer questions and work to build a picture of the data lifecycle
  • You will be involved in project scoping and pre-sales activities and will provide input into Statement of Works on time estimates and budgetary input
  • You will handle large datasets in flat file and/or databases regularly
Required Experience:
  • Proven work experience as a migration engineer and migration solution architect
  • Experience of medical imaging data migration, PACS/RIS
  • Ability to craft complex SQL queries such as multiple join / multiple database queries using tools like TOAD and SQL Server Studio
  • Mid-level networking skill, understanding of following protocols: DNS, NAT, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Understanding of Filesystems and protocols
  • Ability to perform and troubleshoot storage connections to CIFS, NFS, Object store (including EMC Centera)
  • Knowledge or understanding of Hardware or Hypervisor technologies (ESX, VMWare, HyperV)
  • Ability to work occasional weekends to support customer Go lives
Nice-to-haves:
  • Knowledge of DICOM, HL7, IHE, XDS and associated data structures
  • Previous experience: Senior PACS engineer/PACS support engineer/Integration engineer
  • RDBMS experience hugely desirable as is Object based storage: S3, EMC/Dell and scripting experience
  • Formal DICOM/HL7/IHE qualifications
The position is open to UK based applicants. The Data Migration Engineer / Architect will enjoy a fully remote position, with meetings in the Bath office and other locations as required. Wider benefits include company pension, life assurance, sick pay, 25days holiday + bank holidays etc.
