Job Description Morgan McKinley are currently working with a well known business based who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their finance team Morgan McKinley is pleased to be supporting our Bath based client in their search for a new Credit Controller. This Credit control position is perfect for someone who wants to work for an exciting, successful, and resilient company. This is a hybrid role with3 days in the office. You will need to be happy to travel to Bath. This Credit Control role offers growth and development for the right candidate, and you will work closely with the Accounts teams, the wider organisation and external stakeholders. The Credit controller role includes but not limited to, (and most certainly welcomes the employee to grow the position further):
  • Collections: Proactively manage and chase outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment, collaborating with the wider teams to resolve any billing issues.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients regarding their account status, payment terms, and any outstanding balances.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer disputes and billing discrepancies promptly, collaborating with internal teams to address root causes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on the status of receivables, aged debtors, and credit risk to management, highlighting any potential issues and proposing solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in credit control procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate:
  • Previous experience in a credit control position
  • Good excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
