Job Description

Business and Data AnalystHybrid - Bath/RemoteSalary circa £30-38kWe are pleased to be working with a UK Social Enterprise and B Corp company on a mission to streamline and simplify grant research and application management. The Founder is a recognised leader in the grant industry and wanted to create a platform that makesit easier for charities to access grants.We are now looking to hire an analyst who loves designing, building and optimising business processes, software tools and ways of working. We are keen to find someone who is proactive, ready to roll their sleeves up and confident to show colleagues andpartners alike how things could be done better. Analysts are expected to be self-starters who ask a lot of questions in order to drive their projects forward, to be meticulous in checking their own and any delegated work, and to have a strong interest in leveragingboth qualitative and quantitative data. We will be looking for a track record of success cleansing, organising and processing data in the most efficient way so that actionable insights can be generated and tangible results delivered. In order to be consideredfor this role, you will need to be eager to drive social change in line with ambitions across the Third / Charitable sector.What are we looking for

  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and exercise good judgement
  • Detailed understanding and practical experience of business / process analysis using interviews, document reviews, workshops, process mapping (As Is and To Be), and MI analysis, to ensure a detailed understanding of the problem and anticipated solution
  • Experience working as part of a software development / digital product team, taking ideas and turning them into actionable development requirements (i.e. user stories)
  • Analytical problem solver with high attention to detail
  • Experience with BI tools e.g. PowerBI, Tableau etc
  • Expert with excel/G-Shee
  • Communicating insights with different teams (marketing, product, development)
  • Track record of achievement in similar, data or process oriented roles
  • Strong communication and team-working skills
  • Confidence to engage with senior level stakeholders & clients
Additional desirable skills:
  • SQL
  • Data visualisation and dashboards
  • Programming languages including R and Python
  • Data warehousing and ETL / ELT processes
  • Knowledge of probability and statistics
  • Experience and/or interest in working in the tech-for-good sector
