Job Description

Sovereign are a leading housing association, driven by our social purpose and led by our vales, where our residents are at the heart of everything we domore homes, better places, excellent services.Were looking for a Strategy and People Insights Lead to join our Corporate Strategy and People team on a permanent basis. Based from our head office in Basingstoke youll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / lifebalance.Our Corporate Strategy and People function plays a key role in integrating and aligning the business strategies across Sovereign. In this new role, youll lead, monitor and maintain People related KPIs across the business, working in collaboration with othersto ensure we are creating and tracking KPIs that effectively measure the progress of our Corporate Strategy and business unit plans. Youll help in ensuring that we are creating actionable insights to drive positive change.The role Reporting into our Strategy, Change and Performance Manager, youll take the lead across Corporate Strategy performance reporting and insight, People team KPIs and Management Information, data reporting as well as being the Data Owner for all relevant HRand People data. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with our Business Planners and colleagues from across the organisation to identify our corporate strategy KPIs to track the progress of our strategic goals and business unit plans
  • Ensuring all strategic KPIs have documented definitions and leading on the creation of new strategic KPIs to form part of our wider corporate performance reporting in Finance
  • Supporting with more focussed assurance reporting on the delivery of the corporate strategy and supporting plans, so that we are tracking progress with measures of success
  • Identifying all existing HR and people metrics across the business, including working with all Heads of Service in the Corporate Strategy and People Directorate to understand their key performance metrics
  • Providing interpretation and analysis of HR, establishment and E&D data, management information and surveys
  • Developing performance reports that are built out of the single version of the truth and support data led decisions at Sovereign and managing the monthly HR management information reporting for Board and HR
  • Creating a road map to develop new dashboards and reports with support from the People Business Performance Technician
What youll needYou should have previous experience in a similar strategic data led role, being able to work cross-functionally across finance and other business areas to gather the necessary data in order to monitor KPIs. Youll need:
  • Deep understanding of KPIs, as well as experience of implementing and measuring them across a Business
  • Knowledge or experience working with PowerBI or other similar strategic insight tools in order to support execs in making data led decisions
  • Ability to work collaborativelyto both lead and work alongside colleagues
  • Experience in working with complex and confidential HR data and drawing out and building reports where required, with an understanding of GDPR / data protection
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts and be able to provide insight/commentary on key areas to focus on
  • Proactive and proven Stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Strong communication skills
