Job Description

Were led by our values and driven by a strong social purpose, placing our residents at the heart ofeverything we do.We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Transformation delivery team as Portfolio Officer, on a fixed term basis for 12 months. The transformation team play a critical role in supporting the organisation as it creates and grows the capabilities it needs to provide outstanding customer services and successfullydeliver the ambitions of our corporate plan. Youll be based from our head office in Basingstoke, with a blend of home working and occasional travel to other sites.The RoleReporting into the Head of PMO, the main focus of this role is to support the planning, reporting and delivery process by collecting and maintaining project and portfolio planning data in a consistent usable form.Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing guidelines, procedures, and templates to collect and maintain consistent data and provide hands-on delivery support to various programmes and projects
  • Facilitating the creation and updates of programme or project plans. Youll identify where cross-project dependencies exist and track/monitor these
  • Implementing agreed regular progress-reporting mechanisms for all projects and monitoring the routine progress of projects, assisting in the preparation of the programme status/project highlight reports
  • Establishing and maintaining an information management system, managing both electronic and hard-copy configuration libraries
  • Establishing risk, issue and change-control processes and templates, and assisting the programme and project team in their delivery
  • Managing or facilitating the quality review process for programmes or projects
What were looking forYou should have previous experience of working in a fast-moving Programme or Project Management environment, ideally with knowledge of change management frameworks. Youll also have:
  • Experience of working with large volumes of data, with the ability to synthesise the data to inform strategic decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong, credible relationships at all levels
  • Clear communication style, both written and verbal
  • Stronganalyticalskillswiththeabilityto adapt quickly to changing business needs,demonstratingalogicalapproach to work
  • The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Any qualifications in project management or change management would be advantageous.What youll receive from us
