Job Description

Youll be based from our head office in Basingstoke, with flexibility to combine home working.Its an exciting time to join the team as we embark on our finance transformation journey, and youll play a key part in supporting the team.What youll be doing

  • Identifying and implementing improvements to the month end financial close process, the annual budget process and other on-going reporting and finance processes
  • Delivering timely, accurate and comprehensive internal financial management accounts and supporting key operational managers and other internal stakeholders for all income and expenditure streams
  • Managing period end procedures to support timely and accurate delivery of monthly management reporting, including related analysis, follow up and detailed commentary
  • Taking responsibility for the budget and forecasting process, supporting budget holders and having confidence in knowing when to encourage, when to instruct, and when to push back
  • Providing support to Finance Managers with requirements of month end ledger control and balance sheet reconciliation
What we need from youIdeally, youll be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)with experience in a similar management accounting role. Any previous experience working for a Housing Association or within property would be advantageous but is not essential.Were looking for someone who can:
  • Be an effective communicator with the ability to build trusting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Present financial reports, data and insights clearly and confidently to non-finance stakeholders
  • Advise and influence key stakeholders of all levels in the business
  • Proactively challenge, introducing new ideas to drive the progressive development of the business
  • Deliver process optimisation and efficiency
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs, demonstrating a logical approach to your work.
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of Excel
