Job Description

Management Accountant GTK UK Ltd Basingstoke RG24 Competitive salary and performance related company bonus scheme.GTK is a world-class provider of high-quality electronics solutions, including custom cable assemblies, connectors and displays. Founded in 1990, GTK has over 30 years experience in sourcing, designing and supplying customers with a wide range of high-performance products. In 2018, GTK was acquired by Volex plc, a world-leading manufacturer of power products and listed on the LSE.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant. This will be a permanent role and will offer the opportunity to work for a highly motivated team within a growing and highly profitable business.This position will report directly to the Group Finance Operations Manager.You will be responsible for:

  • Monthly management accounts preparation
  • Monthly review of results of our subsidiaries
  • Preparing monthly financial reports (stock, budgets, costs etc.)
  • Assisting with preparation of the Accounts Pack for review
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and other journals as required
  • Fixed Assets reconciliation and controls
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Setting up new accounts on accounting software (Exchequer)
  • Resolving queries on accounts
  • Undertaking financial administration duties
  • Dealing with financial records
  • Uploading financial data to group accounting system
  • Assisting with the year-end audit and budget preparation
  • Assist in managing the finance team
  • Typical qualities of the successful applicant will include:
  • Qualified to ACCA/CIMA level or with equivalent experience plus at least two years of work experience.in a similar function
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail capabilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work positively with others
  • Positive and pro-active attitude
  • Prior knowledge of ERP/product costing systems and gross margin/stock control would be an advantageImmediate telephone interviews with our HR Consultant Debbie Donnelly followed by video conferencing with Group Finance Operations Manager end of May/ early June.
