They’ve delivered projects for Heathrow Airport, Iceland, Volvo, the London 2012 Olympics, Crossrail and Tottenham Hotspur and their products engage, enlighten and inform people across the country every day.In this exciting role, you will have the chance to facilitate the delivery of our client’s ambitious projects by securing products at a fair price and ensuring materials are readily available for customers.Fostering a fun, friendly and rewarding environment, our client will provide you with great training and ongoing support to ensure that you reach your full potential.The RoleAs a Purchasing Assistant / Stores Controller, you will facilitate our client’s procurement and stores-related activities.In this varied role, you’ll work with colleagues across the Production, Projects, Installation and Accounts Departments to ensure that materials and parts are readily available for customers.Specifically, you will:- Process paperwork for all deliveries at our client’s Basildon site- Accurately update internal systems and raise purchase orders- Issue stores fixings and consumables to colleagues- Carry out stock counts and investigate any discrepancies- Take steps to mitigate stock loss- Liaise with suppliers to resolve any issuesAbout YouTo be considered as a Purchasing Assistant / Stores Controller, you’ll need:- Previous experience in a purchasing and/or stores environment- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with an MRP system- Strong numeracy skills- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal- A full driving licenceOur client would like to hear from you if you’ve worked as a Procurement Assistant, Stores Assistant, Stores Co-ordinator, Purchasing Co-ordinator, Trainee Buyer, or Purchasing & Procurement Assistant.Webrecruit and our clients are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
