Job Description

We have been helping candidates to find school-based work for 20 years.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Primary PPA Teacher to join our client primary school, in the Basildon area of Essex, for the remainder of the school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing planned andunplanned absence cover across all primary year groups, including delivering PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time for classroom teachers.Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across a range of primary year groups.
  • Providing cover for planned and unplanned absences, including PPA time for classroom teachers.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback to both students and colleagues.
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and share effective teaching practices.
  • Supporting the schools ethos and values.
  • Carrying out other duties as required.
Key Requirements:
  • A recognised teaching qualification/ relevant teaching experience
  • Relevant teaching experience in primary education.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
