An Operations Manager is required to join a fast-growing business based in Basildon. Our client is a leading supplier of furniture and soft furnishings for the Care and Hospitality sector. This role of Operations Manager may be suited to someone with a Project management or logistics background who is looking to make the next move in furthering their career. Reporting directly to the board of Directors you will work be responsible for the Procurement, Warehouse and Subcontractor teams to ensure maximum levels of utilisation are achieved in their key activities. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following experience and skill sets: o You will be excellent at Project scheduling, programming, and maximising operational efficiencies. o A positive, can do attitude combined with great leadership, you will need to ensure the team have clear direction from you whilst providing support leading, coaching and developing. o Excellent people management skills, a proven leader who can communicate and engage clearly to his team and to other senior managers. o Competency within "IT" systems such as MS Office is essential to the role and you will need to be both task and time management efficiento A slick approach to managing goods in and goods out is a key responsibility. o Observe and maintain the necessary levels of Health & Safety and other competencies with the company. o You will be accountable for all Key performance activities and indicators for the operation. o You will be responsible for making client contact, and the management of any customer care issues.o Able to delivery & conduct internally meetings.A competitive basic salary and package will be on offer to the successful candidate.
