Job Description

Are you passionate about mathematics and dedicated to inspiring the next generation of learners We have an exciting opportunity for a Math Teacher to join our dynamic faculty at a reputable secondary school in Basildon.Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive math lessons to students, fostering a love for the subject.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles.
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and develop personalized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the math curriculum.
  • Monitor and track student attainment and progress, ensuring targets are met.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in mathematics.
  • A passion for teaching and a strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience teaching math at the secondary level (Years 7-11) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
