Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients Basildon Office for a Key Accounts Manager within this freight forwarding company who provide Logistics solutions for their customers Worldwide. This is a challenging role providing an excellent opportunity for career progression for the right candidate. The offices are situated in a central location and can be reached via public transport.Purpose of the role: To be first point of contact for key customers for the company and to deliver first class customer service for customers sea freight shipments for both Imports and Exports.Duties will include:

  • Working in an Ocean Freight Import and Export desk mainly dealing with sea freight Imports.
  • Dealing with Key Customers for the company.
  • Being 1st point of contact for VIP customers with regards to their shipment of Import and Export Sea freight shipments.
  • Liaison with other offices.
  • Communication with Clients, shipping lines and overseas offices/agents
  • Handling Sea Freight consignments for both Imports & Exports
  • High volumes of data entry on in-house IT systems
  • Arranging FCL/LCL loading plans/manifests/bookings/deliveries & customs processes
  • Raising & passing invoices
  • To be successful for the role you must have worked within a Freight Forwarding export/Imports sea freight industry and have good customer service skills and be commercially aware. High level attention to detail and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel are also essential.The company will offer a generous salary depending on experience and offer good company benefits.
