Job Description

Our client, a highly regarded and well-respected shipping and logistics company based in Basildon, is looking to recruit a Imports Commercial Coordinator to join their ever growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years ocean imports experience, along with strong accuracy and attention to detail. This role offers the successful candidate the flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week if preferred.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support to the busy sales teams with regards to client rate management and arranging quotations, as well as liaising with overseas partners to arrange shipments.Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sending quotations to clients and partners for specific shipments, as well as to new prospect clients
  • Issuing rates and updates to clients through company systems
  • Regular liaison with partners to arrange shipment bookings based on Carriers contracts to comply with client requirements
  • Client Shipment/Booking authorization
  • Providing Clients with regular shipment updates, schedule changes, market updates etc
  • Production of statistical reports as required
  • Production of manual shipment reports as required
  • General support for Sales team / BDMs & CSMs
  • Management of department central mailboxes
  • Skills & Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 1 years Sea/Ocean Imports experience
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT-literate, including Excel, Word, Outlook
