Job Description

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an experienced Export or Import person for a busy fast growing Freight company based in the Basildon area.DUTIES:-

  • Start to finish operation (Road and Seafreight)
  • Liaise with the import / export operations team on a daily basis to receive customs information for shipments on Companys worldwide’s import / export service.
  • Communicate with customers, both agents and direct private individuals r
  • Monitor both internal and external emails and respond to customers/colleagues when required.
  • Check commercial documentation for accuracy and resolve issues when detected.
  • Complete customs entries (Road and Oceanfreight)
  • Communicate with the import and export team and keep them updated with clearance information as the process progresses
  • Liaise with government bodies by email and telephone with regards to shipment holds, duty reclaims, trading standards queries and port health.
