Job Description

Our Basildon based client is looking for an experienced Materials Planner to join their team.40 hrs per weekUp to £21,000 Per annum.Job Purpose:The MP&L Administrator coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving problems.Duties:

  • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
  • Analyse and prepare documents needed for production
  • Data analysis and decision making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
  • May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency
  • Liaise with stores regarding kitting of works orders
  • Creating sales orders
  • Creating scheduled purchase orders
  • Send pick notes to stores
  • Create delivery notes for dispatches
  • Create box labels for production
  • Packaging - internally and externally
  • Input schedules from Darwin system
  • Create goods receipts
  • Maintain monthly KPIs for MP&L team
  • Uphold all polices in relation to health, Safety and Welfare
  • Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role, would be preferential
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability
  • Proactive and innovative
  • To work effectively on your own and as part of a team, with a positive can-do attitude
  • The ability to prioritise workload
  • The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
