Child and Family Support Worker - COVID Equalisation Team - South EssexFixed Term, Full Time£21,057 to £27,391 per annumLocation: BasildonClosing Date: 9th June 2021Please note that this position is being offered on a Secondment or Fixed Term Contract basis for a period of 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity to support our brand-new COVID equalisation team within our Children and Families Social Care service.The newly created concept teams will form part of Essex County Councils unique response to the additional demand, pressures and complexity, created by the on-going Covid19 pandemic.We are Serious about Social Work and it is because of this we are investing in our workforce and have created COVID equalisations teams to take action now to relieve the pressure on our frontline teams. These teams will provide additional capacity and support within the Childrens Social Care system, increasing our ability to undertake relationship-based work and achieve sustainable system change, leading to better outcomes for our children and families.The Team - Family Support & Protection Working together we can deliver a range of early help, family support and effective social work interventions to families that have long-term complex issues. Were talking about where theres a need for more than three months intervention, and where children are subject to child protection or child-in-needs plans, or where children can no longer live at home and care proceedings need to be initiated.Your role As a Support Worker you will work within frontline teams in conjunction with alternatively qualified staff and social workers to deliver bespoke, targeted intervention work, in accordance with the care plans, to vulnerable children and families. This also encompasses contact. This work will normally be time limited, with measureable impact and meet the assessed needs.Educated to Level 3 or with activity based alternative experience, in a social care setting, you will be passionate about engaging with and providing direct support in the community, building strong working relationships with partners to jointly deliver improved services.Knowledge skills and Experience
