Technician Lens Re-HousingLocation: Barwell, LeicestershireSalary: £20,000 to £25,000 per annumCalling all Mechanical Engineers and Technicians. This is an immediate opportunity to take your career to the next step and train as a Lens Re-Housing Technician within an innovative precision Lens engineering company in Leicestershire.This role would suit an enthusiastic, confident team player with mechanical engineering qualifications and experience of working with small specialist components.The company manufacture bespoke optical products for a variety of industries including Film and Television. This is an opportunity to become a true specialist for a respected firm at the forefront of lens and camera grip technology.The RoleThe company are now looking to recruit and train a Lens Re-Housing Technician to join the Lens Re-Housing Team. This is a busy and varied role where you will be required to remove optical units from their housing, service the optical components and buildthem into the new mechanics. On the role training will be given as you learn the more intricate parts of this specialist technology.Consequently, a passion and interest in photography, cinetography and the filming industry would allow you to fully immerse yourself in the companys forward-thinking lens innovation.To thrive in this role, you must have a calm and patient approach with experience of working with precision on specialist and delicate components. Attention to detail is paramount as well as the ability to work as a team and on your own initiative.Key responsibilities will include:

Disassembly of lens mechanical systems
Servicing of optical units
Fitting and assembly of new mechanical parts
Marking up the new mechanics and checking test equipment is within specification

Technical / mechanical engineering background
Team player
