An exciting opportunity for a strong leader to manage core IT Infrastructure, overseeing multiple (20) skilled backend IT engineer across 4 teams (Networks, Systems, DevOps, Database Admins) to ensure delivery the of day-to-day work loads across a vast arrayof projects. Managing multiple skilled backend IT teams (Networks, Systems, DevOps, Database Admins) to ensure delivery the of day-to-day work loads acrossa vast array of projects, and ticket types. Liaising with multiple business units and key stakeholders to organise, translate, and communicate meaningful outcomes. Maintaining core business IT services, managing and coordinating incidents with our IT servicesdept. Working with Infrastructure teams and the Head of IT Infrastructure to create architectural directions, and explore new technologies.Responsibilities:

  • Managing IT Infrastructure teams (Systems, Networks, DevOps, DBAs)
  • Managing the availability of critical IT services
  • Managing and coordinating incident response with our IT depts and stakeholders
  • Assisting in the development and growth of IT engineers
  • Working alongside the Infrastructure project manager to ensure delivery of works
  • Working alongside the IT services department to ensure timely response to internal and escalated tickets
  • Translating technical deliverables into meaningful outcomes to nontechnical personnel
  • Ensuring systems and services are appropriately maintained and monitored
  • Improving service and architectures
ProfileKey Skills & Experience:
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Some experience of one or more of Networks, Systems, DevOps and Database systems
  • Managed multiple teams and/or large sized teams
  • High level understanding of some or all of the following IT architectures: -
    • LAN/WAN Routing (BGP,OSPF)
    • Firewalls
    • Azure
    • Office 365
    • AWS
    • Active Directory
    • MDM
    • CICD Pipelines and automation tools
    • Database (MySQL, MSSQL, Data lakes)
Job OfferSalary:£55,000 - £60,000 per annum + bonus
