Job Description

I am now working with a large, UK based manufacturing and production business who are looking to recruit a Days Based, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Electrical Improvements Engineer. This position will be based at the Barton-upon-Humber site in Lincolnshireand will come with strong progression opportunities.Client DetailsSupplying products worldwide my client is a Blue Chip, highly recognised manufacturing business who have gone through strong expansion over the past 2 years. Due to these expansion plans they are now looking to recruit a Days Based, Electrical MaintenanceEngineer who will concentrate on site improvements and capex projects.To apply for this position, you will ideally have a background within Electrical Maintenance or Electrical Improvements, gained within a manufacturing, FMCG or engineering company. Any PLC or Projects experience would be highly advantageous but not essential.DescriptionAs the new Electrical Improvements Engineer you will assist a team of maintenance engineers overseeing and undertaking electrical and mechanical repairs in two fast paced production environments. You will be required to provide hands on maintenance support,and assist in any breakdowns or planned maintenance.The main responsibility however will be to take the lead in implementing improvement/installation projects identified across site.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and lead site projects .
  • Work closely with the Production Managers to achieve project completion within scope and meeting operational needs.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in a timely manner keeping production down time to a minimum.
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments, whilst making sure they are adhered to for all tasks carried out ensuring safe working practices.
  • Assist in implementation of maintenance strategies on completion of project to prolong asset lifecycle.
  • Using all tools available to help identify future areas of improvement.
  • To provide knowledge support to the engineering team.
ProfileTo apply for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer based at the Barton-upon-Humber site in Lincolnshire you will have the following qualifications, skills and background experience:
  • Apprentice Trained or Qualified to HNC Level in Electrical.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or engineering company.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Some PLC diagnostics or Fault Finding skills would be advantageous.
  • Ability to improve standards and change team culture.
  • A confident, enthusiastic, approachable and motivated person.
Job OfferThe successful candidate will be joining a long term, stable organisation and will receive:
  • Basic Salary £30,000 - £38,000.
  • Pension and Company Bonus.
  • Days Based Position.
