Job Description

World leading manufacturing organisation are currently looking to recruit a Turnaround planner for 5-6 months commencing January. This role is full time minimum of 40 hours per week based on-site.A Turnaround Planner creates job packages which contains all of the information regarding required labour material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.Role requires broadened technical skills in Maintenance or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities.Responsibilities / DutiesUses feedback from Do Work function and critical path never stops methodology to optimize the work plans.

  • Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper, if not complete.
  • Carries out field checks to create safe and accurate plans.
  • Prepares job package and inputs plan into Global Turnaround methodology which enables accurate scheduling and cost estimating goals.
  • Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan, and identifies Labour/materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
  • Identifies long lead time materials for early procurement.
  • Creates detailed picture sheets/ Job packages to allow cost estimation to be carried out by contract vendors and act as point of contact if required
  • Identifies/solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
  • Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment.
  • Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review, as needed. Creates, develops, changes, updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure
  • Management of Change (MOC), as required.
  • Assists TA scheduler to ensure Job plans reflect as intended.
  • Works with Site teams and vendors to ensure specialist Labour and Material requirements are accounted for and organised.
  • Participate in Work package reviews prior to Prime off.
