Job Description

Legal Secretary - Audio Typist TSR Legal have a new opportunity for a Legal Secretary looking to join a leading law firm in Barry.This is a modern, thriving law firm that loves to grow its own talent. They are a growing friendly team that aims to support all staff in their personal development.Your main role is to work as part of the busy Private Client Department with a Partner and Solicitor.Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Undertake typing duties (audio or otherwise) as required by the fee earners. Typing of Contracts and Leases. Be familiar with track changes.
  • Dealing with clients and others on the telephone.
  • Take and accurately relay messages and make telephone calls as required.
  • Be familiar with and competent in the use of the telephone system.
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings and prepare meeting documents.
  • Deal with the clients and others in person when requested or required to do so.
  • Be familiar with and competent in the use of the Accounts and Database computer and completing all forms relevant thereto when opening all files on the computer.
  • Deal with post-completion matters, submission of SDLT and LTT Land Tax, deal with post completions and registrations at the Land Registry.
  • Maintain the filing system.
Admin
  • Checking and updating costs limits on all files.
  • Opening and closing of files.
  • Each secretary must be responsible for putting up their own mail and ensuring it is delivered to the post room for posting.
