Job Description

Flying Start Early Years Advisory Teacher | Contract based | BarryMatching Staff Solutions is looking for a Flying Start Early Years Advisory Teacher for our client based in Barry, Vale Of Glamorgan. If you like being in an active busy role, then this is for you.Contract starts from 08/01/2024 till 29/03/2024.-

  • To support Childcare/Childminding Practitioners within Flying Start funded childcare settings in developing and maintaining high quality care and education provision and maintain the requirements of the Flying Start contract.
  • To model and mentor what good practice looks like, to Flying Start childcare settings/childminders and to encourage the sharing of best practice between settings.
  • To establish effective working relationships with the settings and local catchment schools to ensure positive transition to education providers.
  • Liaison with Early Years/Childcare teams within the Local Authority to ensure continuity of approach relating to quality practices in childcare.
  • Facilitate training to Flying Start teams, including commissioned providers relating to children’s learning, development and recommended models of good practice in Childcare/Early Years.
  • Advise on suitable equipment and resources and develop high quality teaching and support materials for use across childcare/childminding providers.
  • Such other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade and in accordance with the general character of the job as may reasonably be required by the Chief Officer from time to time.
Candidate : -
  • Minimum 3 years teaching experience in Early Years Sector.
  • Must have relevant qualification.
  • Experience of self-evaluation and improvement planning.
  • Experience of working with parents and the wider community.
  • Experience of working with children with a wide range of needs.
  • Experience of facilitating training to staff
  • Experience of developing Quality Assurance schemes for 0-4 year olds.
Shift Time : -
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08.30 - 16.30
