Job Description

Are you a commited Support Worker who could make a positive impact on the lives of women who have suffered from domestic violence Would you benefit from working full time hours in a rewarding front line role If so, a respected Domestic Violence supportcharity is recruiting for a passionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join their experienced team in Barry.The aim of this position is to provide, trauma informed, needs led, strengths-based support to victims of domestic violence. The purpose is to ensure women and girls feel safer, can assess safe accommodation, be informed and feel able to make informed choices,understanding of healthy relationships and are well-connected with positive support services.The successful candidate will act of the first point of contact for survivors of domestic and sexual violence or abuse accessing the service. They will provide crisis intervention, identifying risks and carrying out support planning which are strength andneeds led. Furthermore, they will successfully manage a diverse caseload, conducting quality support sessions on a regular basis.This is a rewarding, yet challenging role which would suit a Support Worker who is resilient but able to work with empathy.
