Job Description

Our growing client in Barnstaple are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their hardworking, family oriented team! Your role will be to oversee all logistics activities on site covering warehousing, distribution, dispatch and transport.Hours: 8.30AM to 5.00PM Monday to FridayPay: £35,000 to £40,000 based on experienceOccasional travel will be required to the Newbury site.Key Skills as the Warehouse Manager:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in ERP , SAP or ICS
  • Strong customer service levels
  • Promoting good working practises
  • Able to work under pressure
Responsibilities as the Warehouse Manager:
  • Responsible for managing the logistics on site.
  • To provide motivation and development for reporting staff.
  • To process customers orders and arrange deliveries and collections through operational logistics.
  • Responsible for transport planning and drivers routing.
  • Responsible for time management.
  • To work closely with other departments to service our clients customers.
  • To perform annual performance reviews for reporting staff.
  • To manage the companies O License and our drivers compliance requirements.
  • To oversee various company internal checks and compliance standards.
  • To assist with various third party support services for our client.
  • To be part of the operations management team.
  • To promote our clients company values internally and externally.
Expectations of the Warehouse Manager:
  • Proven experience of working within a warehousing/logistics management role.
  • To be future oriented to be able to support our client as they grow.
  • We are looking for someone puts health and safety first in the workplace.
  • The ability to be flexible in your approach to work and being part of a team to get the job done.
