Job Description

Excellent permanent job opportunity aCNC Machinist to join a prestigious company based in North Devon.Due to continual production expansion, this company is currently looking to recruita CNC Machinistwho will be based in Barnstaple. This is a permanent,full-time position. If you have minimal experience as a CNC Machinist or are indeed a time served Engineer, then we would like to hear from you!CNC Machinist Job Summary:To set and operate a group of CNC machines to maximum capacity to produce goods of the highest quality.Key Job Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist:

  • Setting machine following the established procedures.
  • Operating machines to optimum efficiency e.g. Okuma LB15, LT10, Hitachi Seiki., ensuring regular checking of machine speed, tooling and quality.
  • Through continuous review of machine set-up and operation to ensure all product manufactured meets the established quality standard.
  • Read and follow instructions on drawings, routings, set-up sheets and ISO procedures so that the work produced meets customer requirements in terms of delivery times and quality.
  • Change the full range of tools on allocated machines to ensure full efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness are achieved.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment so that the work area hazards are minimised, tooling and gauges etc. are protected and presentation meets the Company standard.
Essential Experience Required:*Any form of CNC experienceDesirable Experience/Traits:* Programming experience* Apprentice trained* Numerate, able to use measuring instruments (verniers, calipersetc), follow written instructions and have a good level of literacy skills.Shifts:Monday to Friday 6am-2pm rotating MondayThursday 2pm-midnight.Company benefits:
