Job Description

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a Subcontract Ledger Administrator to work within a fact paced business, based in Barnsley, initially on a 9-12 Month Fixed Term Contract, to cover a period of Maternity. The successful applicant will fulfil the Purchase Ledger team’s daily responsibilities including processing supplier invoices for overheads & materials. Day to day duties and responsibilities of the Subcontract Ledger Administrator will include but not be limited to:
  • Maintain Subcontract Ledger and processes financial transactions
  • Matching Subcontract Invoices to Subcontract orders
  • Verify orders, calculations, correct authorisations and obtain information for incorrect or incomplete documents
  • Scan statements, ledgers and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and applies the correct procedure for action, refers more complex items to seniors
  • Investigate statements and ledgers or accounts in order to establish the facts required to deal with queries
  • Ensure all the CIS guidelines are followed
  • Reconciles supplier statements at month end
  • Maintains a good relationships with subcontractors and internal departments
  • Other tasks as may from time to time be deemed necessary and are authorised by line managers
To excel in this role, you will have previous experience in a subcontract ledger team as an Administrator with skills and characteristics including:
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, advanced formulae use)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Works collaboratively to break down barriers and exceed customer expectations
