SEN Teaching AssistantBarnsley, South YorkshireGrade 2 £17,598 - £17,89033 hours p/w term time ONLY including 5 inset daysGreenacre School is one of the UK’s largest special schools, educating over 300 children and young people aged 3 to 19 with severe and complex learning disabilities. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidanceof a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons
  • Supporting children in class with reading, visual learning and messy play
  • Helping those who need extra support
  • Completing pupils record plans
THE CANDIDATE
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience or interest in working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
  • Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships
