Job Description

Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a South Yorkshire based Local Council to recruit a Project Manager on an initial six-month contract. The post-holder will manage programmes and projects in relation to Economic Regenerationprojects (including physical or nonphysical infrastructure) for the purpose of improving the welfare and wellbeing of the residents of the borough, ensuring successful gathering and delivery of all requirements.Regeneration profiles relate to roles where the main focuses of the projects are people outcome related projects that may also include development and delivery of physical infrastructure/large buildings to facilitate the people outcomes.Role Information

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the development of project Business Cases in line with Better Business Case principles • Assisting with procurement exercises associated with the programme / project, along with assisting with the monitoring the performance of the contract.
  • Assisting the Programme / Project managers with co-ordinating and monitoring both human and financial resources • Completion and submission of project monitoring information and or necessary grant claim forms as determined by the project / programme funders.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance in relation to projects, with consideration for the requirements of people outcome -related issues, ensuring that key milestones and information are communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the maintenance of project risk registers and assist in resolving issues to ensure programmes/projects are delivered.
  • Assist in performance management and data analysis, promoting quality practice and service delivery, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the identification, evaluation and implementation of processes, technology and systems to enhance project and service delivery.
  • Support with programme / project management, co-ordinating resources to ensure that these are effectively planned and managed within a formal programme and project management framework.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Establish and maintain a library of documents and information to enable the effective management of programmes and projects.
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant Project/Programme Management Training (e.g. Prince 2)
  • Relevant Programme/Project Management Qualification
