Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner/ Controller to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for scheduling the deployment of production resources. You will regularly be collaborating with the purchasingdepartment in order to ensure that raw materials are available, in order to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Liaising with the sales team to agree delivery dates to customers. You will develop and issue a production plan to achieve date commitments to maximise OTIF and operational efficiency.Our Production Planner/Controller perks and benefits are:

Production Planner/ Controller OverviewThe focus of this role is too:
  • Review and update minimal inventory and re-order parameters to ensure that finished goods are held at optimal levels.
  • Create a plan which meets customer requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Support the Production Planning Manager / Department regarding all aspects of Production Planning.
  • Work closely with the planning and materials manager and other departments to produce daily production planning schedules.
  • Work with the production team to ensure that the production can meet the current and ongoing demand requirements
  • Prepare relevant reports around or slab material availability.
  • Analyse data from a variety of sources to develop and provide management information.
  • Monitor and maintain finished goods inventory levels in accordance with set targets.
  • Ensure all production planning activities support the overall Customer Service performance targets.
  • Work closely with other departments and members of the management team when required.
  • Attend, when required, management meetings to present production planning information.
  • Achieve and contribute towards personal and departmental targets and KPIs.
About you!
  • Experience of working in a production planning environment.
  • Self-starter, able to act on own initiative.
  • Tenacious and resilient
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong IT skills - Word and Excel and the ability to easily adapt to new systems/ packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English)
  • Experience in a similar role
