Job Description

WINNER are currently supporting an production manufacturing company with the recruitment of theirPress Brake Setter/Operator, this role will be based in Barnsley. This would be doing alternative shifts on a 3 week rotary basis.As aPress Brake Setter/Operatoryou will be responsible carrying out all functions relating to the safe and efficient running of the laser cutting machines, minimizing downtime, and production of parts thereon to company-specified qualitystandards and pace of work.The duties of thePress Brake Setter/Operatorwill be:

  • Programming & running of the laser to ensuring high material utilization, efficiency and meeting required output levels at the highest quality.
  • Loading/unloading of sheet steel/cut parts (including use of an overhead crane).
  • Daily, weekly maintenance of the machine including proactive reporting of faults to minimize downtime.
  • Set up of machine and forming of parts to engineering drawings, for both internal or external clients.
  • Working inline with quality standards, and high efficiency.
  • Daily, weekly maintenance of the machine including proactive reporting of faults to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured in line with company standards on quality.
  • Liaise with supervisors and other departments as necessary to ensure right-first-time delivery.
  • Proactively highlight any quality issues to the appropriate person to ensure swift resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding Company and customer products,
  • At all times present a professional image in line with Company standards.
  • Any other duties within the capabilities and training of the individual in line with the needs of the Company.

The salary for thePress Brake Setter/Operatoris £25,000 - £28,000 per annumThe company operate a three shift rota of Days (6am to 2pm), Afters (2pm-10pm), and Nights (10pm to 6am).Please call for any information regarding this job.
