Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Heavy Engineering Reference: Jo3391/SB/REEDLocation: Barnsley Salary: £29,218 + Pension + Overtime Days Mon-Thurs 8-4, 3pm finish Friday 39 hours per week.The CompanyMy client is one of the UKs leading manufacturers within its field of metal processing and associated supplying into a wide variety of industries. The company is a well-established producer, with over 100 years of experience and supplies to the global markets.Key Skills

  • Apprentice Trained Engineer in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in Heavy plant machinery.
  • Understanding of PPM Systems
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, working on several fast-moving lines, driven by automatedmachinery. The ideal candidate will come from a medium to heavy engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with a mechanical bias, (but ideally multi-skilled) and have heavy engineering experience.On a day to day basis, you will be working equipment such as hydraulics, pneumatics, grinders, pipework and fabrication.
