Job Description

We are looking for Clerical/Admin candidates to join one of our public sector clients. The organization is college with a fantastic working ethos. This role would be perfect for any grad or admin candidate looking to get experience in a fantastic publicsector organizationJob SpecJob title: Estate MaintenanceHours: Fulltime - 36Wage: £19,133 - £19,516 per year (pro rata for part time)Contract type: PermLocation: BarnsleyPermanentSalary: £19,133 - £19,516 per year (pro rata for part time)Full time: 36 hours per week (2 positions) / Part time: 12 hours per week (4 positions), working 8 week day/night shift rota, 52 weeks per yearKey duties:

  • Contribute to the maintenance, cleaning and security of all college assets through the carrying out of routine maintenance, cleaning and security duties as issued through the Estates Department and Estates Manager
  • To contribute to the safety of college assets, students and staff through the provision of first responder services
  • Ensuring that all routine works schedules, tasks and reports are completed and that the appropriate hand-over of all relevant information is made to the following shift and the Estates Manager.
  • To undertake as required with day-to-day operations maintenance, refurbishment and alterations including basic joinery, plumbing, decorating and other repairs and response duties as directed by the Estates Manager. Measuring up, and ascertaining materialsand or stock levels that are needed to carry out these duties.
Experience/skills:
  • Possession of or willingness to undertake appropriate training including H&S Training, First Aid and Mental Health First Aid, Fire Awareness Training, Safeguarding and Prevent etc
  • Willingness to work unsocial shift patterns and to cover shifts at short notice in emergencies
  • Relevant experience in a caretaking and/or maintenance role
