Job Description

Teaching Assistants KS2We are seeking Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work within Key Stage Two classrooms and support pupils, including pupils with SEN.You will have experience supporting young people within a classroom setting. You may also have received training and have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), together with the ability to lead sessions with groups ofchildren who require extra support, including in some instances small SATS groups for Y6 pupils requiring extra support.We are seeking an individual who is: -

  • Passionate about the learning journey of pupils following the schools behaviour approach, and who can share in the schools values
  • Experienced in a classroom setting, providing support for pupils, including SEN pupils where appropriate.
Key KS2 Teaching Assistant duties will include: -
  • Supporting the teacher and pupils in class
  • First aid duties as and when required following any current Care Plans
  • Taking small groups out of class for interventions and 1 to 1 support as and when required under the direction of class teacher
  • Attending any training statutory to your role, including but not limited to Safeguarding, First Aid, Fire Safety, Prevent and GDPR.
There is flexibility for part-time and full-time Teaching Assistant roles, and you must be available to work during school hours throughout term time.All Teaching Assistants working through Provide Education must have a valid, Update Service Registered DBS, or be prepared to undertake a new DBS application through Provide Education.
