Job Description

Are you a 2023/2024 Accountancy and Finance Graduate Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working on a super exciting progressive Graduate Accountant role! Within this role the successful Graduate will gain exposure to all areas of accounting including stakeholder management, audit and accounts prep. They are a very employee-focused, dynamic business who have great prospect opportunities and like to employ candidateswho possess a wealth of drive and ambition to complement their already successful team. Duties:

  • Complete scheduled site reviews to identify areas of strength / weakness
  • Make recommendations to Senior Management to improve the overall control environment, to abide by Group policies and to reduce the risk of fraud
  • Support in the preparation of Internal Audit reports, which are presented to Site Management and forwarded to the Board
  • Maintain databases of identified recommendations, monitoring any highlighted recommendations and comment on progress made addressing those recommendations
  • Engage with any improvements made to the Internal Audit function i.e identifying new tests, methodologies, presentation of information, ways of working etc
  • Regular UK travel to sites around the Group to engage with different departments to obtain evidence and perform Audit procedures
Person Specification:
  • Recently graduated
  • Excellent numerical and communication skills
  • Able to effectively work within a small team
  • Ability to work under their own initiative with appropriate coaching and support
  • A strong analytical mind
  • The ability to produce good written report contributions
  • Strong IT skills, including a fundamental understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of the key risks and issues facing the industry
A clear understanding of the added value of effective Internal Auditing The role is a fully remote role with occasional travel to their head office site in Barnsley and also their other sites throughout the UK.
