Elevation Recruitment Group are really excited to be working in partnership with a growing organisation based in the Barnsley area as they look to expand their busy FP&A team!The successful candidate will be joining the business as a progressive Finance & Systems Analyst where you will have exposure to a wide variety of projects across all areas of the business and become a key player in providing analytical insight to inform business strategy and decisions. The role will have a large slant on finance and so is perfect for someone with analytical mind, but who also has a genuine interest in accountancy & finance.Reporting into the Head of FP&A; the successful candidate will be a confident user of Microsoft Excel (and familiar with SQL/PowerBI) and will take on the responsibility of providing high quality and timely business information to support the continued performance improvement and strategic decision-making. Duties & Responsibilities:* Manage BI, Data Preparation and Data Visualisation tools* Production, delivery and improvement of existing reports* Analysis of existing datasets & workflows, from multiple distributed sources* Develop ETL procedures for Data Warehouse purposes* Manage data quality and cleansing activities, to address data anomalies and ensure robust reporting data* Act as a bridge between Finance & IT departments * Collaborate with Financial Systems colleagues to develop HFM / Oracle / Essbase reporting* Potential for IT system implementation, automation and development projects* Standardise & streamline existing MS Excel models and reports* Perform data integration for Data Warehouse and Multi-Dimensional applicationsSkills Required:* Strong IT background with a history of transformation projects* Previous experience as an FSA, Business Analyst or Systems Accountant* Experience of Data Preparation & Visualisation tools (Tableau or PowerBI)* Knowledge of SQL SSRS / Dynamics365* Experience with Power BI, Tableau or a similar dashboarding tool* Education to degree level preferred* Studying for professional accounting qualification desirable* Business partnering experience desirableThis is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical and commercial mind-set to join a supportive team on a full time, permanent basis.If you have the relevant skills & experience to be considered for this opportunity, please feel free to apply today!
