Job Description

Field Engineer - Barnsley/ travel to Leeds (30-33K) This includes a 5K car allowance.My client are looking for a Field Engineer to join the fast paced and dynamic Managed Service provider. The successful candidate will join a growing, pro-active and highly motivated team responsible for installations and maintenance of network infrastructures,workstations, servers, data security, daily administration tasks and end user support.The role will require travel to customer locationsThe ideal candidate will have a solid background in network and server administration, Installation and support, with particular emphasis on excellent customer service skills and being able to provide a secure, high-performance, reliable service to sophisticatedand demanding users.Experience -

  • At least 3 years experience within a field engineering/consultancy role.
  • Full clean driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, either face to face, over the telephone communication and accurate and clear reporting to end users and management.
Experience is essential for the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010
  • Active Directory Configuration and Administration
  • All Windows Desktop Operation Systems from XP to W8
  • Firewall Technologies and Configuration (ideally Watchguard or Cisco)
  • VPN Technologies
  • Trouble shooting and diagnostic experience via logs and reports
  • DHCP/DNS/WINS/TCPIP/GPO
  • Microsoft Office Applications
