Criminal Duty SolicitorBarnsleyBased in South Yorkshire this law firm is a well-established, multi-service high street practice.They are looking for a duty qualified Criminal Defence Solicitor 2 years + PQE to join their small crime team in central Barnsley.There is a senior Solicitor in the team, a police station representative and support staff.The role will be doing Police Station and Magistrates Court work and advocacy with some Crown Court work too dealing with the full spectrum of offences.There will be time spent on call and covering the duty solicitor slots. In terms of out of hours work the policy at the firm is you retain 50% of the fixed fee.There is the scope to work remotely one day a week in the role and there is the opportunity for progression here too.The firm offer a competitive salary based on experience likely to be circa £35k-£45k based on experience + out of hours call outs.If you would like to hear more about the role please contact Graham Rawlinson at QED Legal for a confidential chat.
