Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering exclusively with a successful group of businesses in Barnsley to recruit a Compliance and Controls Accountant to cover a period of maternity. Starting in September 2022 and for a fixed term of 12 months, this is a rare opportunity to join a thriving business and take responsibility for compliance matters across Europe. You will be focusing on SOX and working with the US Internal Audit team to coordinatetesting, partner with local teams to resolve control deficiencies and document and strengthen controls and procedures where appropriate. As a Senior Compliance Analyst your responsibilities will include:-Develop and administer a self-testing audit program to locally monitor SOX control compliance -Responsible for creating a database of the business procedures looking at OTC, P2P, CTB and inventory -Focus on GDPR and ensure compliance is maintained and a regular review of the companys personal data and procedures for handling it is undertaken-Stewardship of process and control documentation for Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Close the Books and Inventory-Lead global business services projects and coordinate with the departments involved-Collaborate with key stakeholders in deploying new technologies to ensure successful implementationsThe successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong internal controls experience - previous SOX experience will be a huge advantage but is not essential.Hybrid working is offered with c.2 days per week in the Barnsley office.For further information and to apply, please contact Helenna Hobson.
