Barnsley Council have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications and Marketing Officer to join the team and support the delivery of the marketing strategy for The Glass Works in Barnsley. You will be working on a full-time, permanentbasis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,672£31,346 per annum.About us:Its exciting times in Barnsley as The Glass Works development takes shape. Together with the success of our Market Kitchen and renowned Barnsley Market, we think weve got somethingto shout about.The Communications and Marketing Officer role:As our Communications and Marketing Officer, you willprovide a high quality marketing and communications service to promote council services, utilising marketing techniques to plan, deliver and evaluate campaigns.As ourCommunications and Marketing Officer your responsibilities will include:- Working with the Communications and Marketing Manager to develop, deliver and review marketing strategies that boost awareness and build a positive brand perception to deliver high traffic and sales turnover for The Glass Works retailers and tenants- Planning and delivering marketing activity that targets a range of stakeholders, especially potential shoppers and visitors, while retaining and expanding upon the town centres current customer base- Supporting the delivery of strategies to expand customer dwell time, cultivate customer loyalty and encourage repeat visits- Using insight, customer journeys, performance data and analytics to inform your work- Working closely with the councils Communications and Marketing service to map opportunities for cross-promotion- Brief agencies on creative, social media and PR- Remain focussed on the Councils aspirations in all related activityQualifications and experience youll need to become ourCommunications and Marketing Officer:- Experienced Communications and Marketing professional, preferably experience in a similar retail marketing position- A level 6 qualification in a relevant subject and preferably a level 7 qualification in a related discipline- Strong experience in digital and social media, as well planning and delivering data-driven marketing campaigns- Experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns that drive brand growth- Experience in developing brilliant marketing creative and ideas which motivate customers to take actionSkills youll need to become ourCommunications and Marketing Officer:- A people focussed leader who motivates others and knows how to get the best out of a wide variety of stakeholders- A proactive, positive, collaborative, can-do attitude- A driven professional who demonstrates high levels of accountability and ownership- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills- Knowledge of IT/Microsoft ApplicationsClosing date: Friday 6th August 2021We need a Communications and Marketing Officer who shares our enthusiasm and vision who can pull all this together and make this happenis that you Then wed like to hear from you!
