Job Description

This role is perfect for a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail. As a Buying Assistant, you will be crucial in making sure the admin for your junior buyer runs smoothly and efficiently.Client DetailsThe company is a well-established retail supplier who sell to large retail chains we well as eBay & amazon sellers They are based in Tankersley and pride themselves on their wide range of retail products and are renowned for their strong commitment to customerservice.Description

  • Supporting the buying team in the selection and sourcing of products.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
  • Assisting in the management of product lifecycle and inventory.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity within the retail industry.
  • Ensuring all product and supplier information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sales forecasts and budget reports.
  • Attending trade shows and supplier meetings when required.
  • Providing general administrative support to the buying team.
ProfileA successful Buying Assistant should have:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for the retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Job Offer
  • An estimated salary range of £20,000 - £23,000 per annum, based on skills and experience.
