IT Applications, IT Apps, IT SystemsAn Applications Officer is required for our client based in Barnsley. This is a hybrid position, with 2 days a week on site.The role is to provide Application Support, overseeing system upgrades, working with services to obtain their priorities.Our client has an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic Applications Officer.You’llhave responsibility for managing the applications supportand systemdevelopment. ofbusiness-critical applications.Providingin-depth capability for deliveringsupportservicesdirectly to system users and service delivery functions.You’llhave line management responsibility for Application support officers within the team setting performance targets and monitoring progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.To hit the ground runningpreviousexperience of local authority business critical systems would be an advantage with the ability to carry out routine configuration, installation, upgrades and reconfiguration of database and related products.This Applications Officer post sits in the Service Operations section where you will be supporting applications with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
