Day Webster are actively working on behalf a high number of Mainstream and Special Needs Schools including PRU’S, Inclusion Centers, Alternative Provisions and Hospital Schools across all boroughs of Hampshire.We are currently registering a range of UK & Overseas Trained Teachers and Specialist Support Staff with experience in teaching Primary, Secondary & FE, with experience in SEN, Special Schools, Outreach or Alternative Provisions and with an interest to work in the Hampshire area.Personal Skills:Day Webster are looking for a number of outstanding, dynamic and innovative teachers and Classroom Support Staff who are looking for both long term and permanent work.The right candidate must have previous experience of teaching or classroom support and will need to be an engaging and creative qualified teacher or specialist support worker. If you are an overseas trained teacher, a valid UK Naric certificate would be required.Successful applicants will be required to have some experience teaching in or supporting pupils with any or all the following:• Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)• Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)• Behaviour Emotional Social Difficulties (BESD)• Pupil Referral Units (PRU)• Alternative Provisions (AP) or Hospital SchoolsThese roles are often long term and would suit teachers or support staff with previous experience in special needs who have an interest in working with pupils with challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties.Candidates should:Hold a valid DBS (conducted in the last 12 months) or be on the update serviceHave a good classroom management dealing with challenging behaviour or complex learning difficultiesHave outstanding communication skillsCommitment to working with pupils with special educational needsExceptional interpersonal skillsAbility to use own initiativeGreat problem solving skillsCapability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour or complex learning difficultiesAn observant and responsive approachA positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitudePatience, considerate and compassionate pupils
