Job Description

Repair & Maintenance Operative - Portable Cabins, Regional role covering North of London including Barnet and Enfield regions (full driving licence required), Salary: £13.80 - £15.53ph dependant on skills / experience + excellent benefits and career development opportunities. *The official title of this role is "Regional Service Engineer"This role may suit candidates from a range of backgrounds e.g. Property Repair & Maintenance Engineer, Facilities Maintenance Engineer, Handyman, CSCS Labourer, Construction Worker, Multi-trade, Skilled Labourer, Plumbers mate, Electricians mate, Window Fitter, Cabin Fitter, Sign Installer.We have an opportunity for a Regional Repair & Maintenance Operative to join the market leading provider of Portable cabins, Secure Storage Solutions, Modular buildings and associated products. This is a regional role, travelling out to customer sites to carry out installation and dismantle and general repair and maintenance work on the hire units, which include temporary office units, storage units, catering & events units etc (all self-powered). Applicants must have a CSCS card and general maintenance / repair skills.The companys Regional Service Engineers / Installation, Repair & Maintenance Operatives are multi-skilled and carry out a variety of repair and maintenance tasks every day. You may be involved in general maintenance and repair tasks such as fixing furniture hardware, fixtures & fittings, basic electrical and plumbing, flooring and partition walls, painting etc. You will also be involved in the installation and dismantle of the units on site. Full training provided.The environment is a busy one, with lots of variety and plenty of opportunity to develop your skills through experience and training.Candidate requirements:

  • Have a general repair / maintenance skills and be aCSCS Card Holder
  • A willingness to learn, the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and a flexible approach to work and working hours (including regular overtime and occasional overnight stays).
  • Any experience of self-powered equipment / generators would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Qualifications / Certificates in any of the following would be highly desirable: Slinger/Signaller, SSSTS, Plumbing or Electrical
  • This position would suit candidates from a a range of backgrounds, including; Property Repair & Maintenance Engineer, Facilities Maintenance Engineer, Handyman, CSCS Labourer, Construction Worker, Multi-trade, Skilled Labourer, Plumbers mate, Electricians mate, Window Fitter, Cabin Fitter, Sign Installer.
