Job Description

History TeacherAcademics are seeking new History Teachers with experience or Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) that are able to assist schools in the North London region.The role will be based in schools located in either the Barnet, Brent, Camden or Islington regions, with access to those locations as a requirement.Permanent Roles: Inner London pay scale M1-M6 (£32,157- £42,624.)Locations: North London (Barnet) (Brent) (Camden) (Islington) Starting from: ASAP - Jan 2021About the Role You will be expected to teach History to Key stage 3, 4 and 5 students. The role will involve the planning and delivery of lessons along with marking class work and homework. You will also be required to assist in the development and overall assessment of the curriculum alongside the head of department.The vacancy is suitable for an experienced History teacher or for an ambitious and high achieving NQT with prior experience within schools.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience teaching history with success at secondary schools.
  • Subject knowledge and a real motivator able to relay the information to all pupils.
  • Organisation and resilience with an adaptable attitude able to cater to all individual differences.
  • Ability to teach to KS3, 4, and 5 level
  • Candidates must have QTS with Newly Qualified Teachers are welcome.
