In this Packaging Engineering role, you will bring the packaging material, technology, quality and sustainability knowledge to the packaging design and development process. You will effectively collaborate with several stakeholders to deliver best packagingsolutions.You will be responsible for the creation of packaging specifications, technical approvals and effective packaging testing programs and will have the capability to design packaging structures and optimize pallet configuration by using common softwares. Youwill ensure that all package related data is validated and stored on time according to defined process. The role will require some ability to travel. * Managing packaging structure design and development projects as part of new product development process.* Generating technical drawings, specifications, structural packaging models and packaging guidelines, independently or with internal/external partners.* Exploring and initiating new sustainable packaging solutions to follow upcoming trends in packaging industry* Participating packaging renewal, harmonization, and transfer projects as well as quality, compliance and cost improvement projects.* Managing daily packaging material related issues* Actively collaborating across Fiskars to build and maintain successful relationships as well as by sharing best practices.Candidate Requirements:* Bachelor or masters degree in Packaging Engineering or Design, or significant working experience within an operative & structural packaging/design environment* Minimum of 3-5 years in a role with similar responsibilities in an international organization* Successful track record in project management within packaging category, by leading multiple projects simultaneously with critical deadlines, targets and KPIs.* Experience of branded consumer product packaging and the logistical requirements within a global multichannel supply chain* Experience of working with technical packaging, with good awareness of packaging construction development, materials, and production technologies i.e., packaging manufacturing, printing, and converting process.* Packaging structure design capability via common design software programs in 2D & 3D environment.* Experience with CAD, PLM systems and MS Office suite (advanced excel skills)Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm there can be a mixture of both home and office working for this roleSalary: £40,000 Per AnnumBrampton Recruitment is an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
