Job Description

The Recruitment Group are looking for a perm Welder to work at our new client based in Bardon. If you are looking for your next step as a Welder then this might be the opportunity you are looking for. The role of a Welder will become an integral partof our Clients team.Salary:

  • Up to £28,472 per annum depending on experience (£14.30 per hour)
Working Hours are:
  • 6am to 2.15pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • 38.75 hours per week
  • Overtime is available at time and a half per hour
Role/Responsibilities:
  • Be able to read, understand and follow engineering drawings
  • Use the most suitable welding method for the job at hand
  • Use various hand and power tools (grinders, cutting torches, hand files, hammer)
  • Organising the work area before and after parts are processed
  • Detect and report any equipment malfunctions
  • Assist with the fabrication of precision components
Skill Requirements:
  • Skilled in welding of mild steel components using MIG
  • Be able to complete all necessary paperwork
  • Good concentration levels with close attention to detail
  • Excellent practical skills
  • A safety-conscious approach to work
  • Good hand-to-eye coordination
Desirable:
  • The ability to operate and set press brake machines would be desirable
  • Competent to sling and use overhead cranes
  • Forklift experience
